Mr. Tamotsu Majima
Majima has been engaged in cross-border M&A transactions at RECOF Corporation for over 25 years. His experience includes:
- Since RECOF’s entry into Vietnam in 2011, involvement in the completion of over 15 transactions between Vietnam and Japan, in such sectors as consumer finance, manufacturing, distribution, logistics and real estate development,
- Active promotion and support of dozens of other transactions between Vietnam and Japan, in various sectors ranging from retail, food, packaging, IT service, marketing, engineering and energy,
- Japan outbound transactions, advising Japanese companies to invest in Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand as well as the US, France, Germany, Italy, etc.,
- Japan inbound transactions, advising French, German and US listed companies, supporting the entry and expansion of their businesses in Japan through M&A,
- Development and promotion of deals through the global network of REACH Cross-Border Mergers & Acquisitions, with 30 M&A advisors covering over 50 countries, in which RECOF is the member for Japan and Vietnam.
- Japan domestic restructuring transactions, supporting the financing of distressed companies from Japanese and non-Japanese strategic investors.
Majima was born in 1965 in Tokyo, graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in 1988 and INSEAD in France in 1993. Prior to joining RECOF Corporation in 1998, Majima worked at Yamaichi Securities Co., Ltd. for 10 years, during which he started as securities
