Warrick is the Managing Partner of Deals, Tax and Legal, and Chairman and CEO of KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia.  He has been a Tax advisor in Vietnam for over 20 years, and is recognised as one of Vietnam’s leading tax professionals. He began his tax advisory career upon graduation in 1992 and moved to Vietnam 1998.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in Vietnam of taxation advisory and compliance, tax dispute resolution, corporate governance and structuring issues, and has advised on numerous corporate transactions in Vietnam and Cambodia.

His clients include major international corporations operating in Vietnam from Europe, Asia and the United States, in the financial services, manufacturing, natural resources, technology and consumer goods industries.

Warrick is well known and respected by the corporate community in Vietnam, and has extensive experience working with the authorities at all levels of the Government.  He is a frequent commentator in the Vietnamese media on tax and business issues.

He served as KPMG Asia Pacific Head of Tax from 2010 to 2016, and as the Global Leader of High Growth Markets for Tax thereafter.  He has been a member of KPMG’s International Tax Steering Group since 2010 and is also a member of KPMG’s Asia Pacific Board and Global Council.

KPMG has been recognised for its contribution to the financial sector by Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance, and has been named the Vietnam Tax Firm of the Year, most recently for 2020, by the widely respected and independent International Tax Review.

Outside of KPMG, Mr Cleine is Chairman of the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, Chairman of British Corporate Advisory Council in Vietnam, and Adjunct Industry Professor in the School of Business & Management, RMIT Vietnam University.

Mr. Masataka “Sam” Yoshida – Global Head of Cross Border Division of RECOF Corporation, CEO of RECOF Vietnam.

Mr. Sam has more than 30-year experience in the M&A advisory businesses. Before joining RECOF, he worked for The Sumitomo Bank, Limited (currently SMBC: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) for 12 years where he had 8 years of experience in M&A advisory (of which he spent 4 years in London). Mr Sam originated and advised more than 80 transactions during his tenure of 25 years at RECOF, in various industries including business services, consumer products, building material, apparel, media and automotive, etc.

Binh is a dedicated and experienced advisor in strategy and M&A in Vietnam. She leads the M&A and strategy advisory practices and manages all aspects of the firm at ASART. She also serves as Vice Chair for ESG Committee, Vice Chair for Capital Market and Financial Services Committee, and leads Sustainable Finance Sub-committee of AmCham Vietnam.  

For the last 15 years, Binh has been working with many prominent entrepreneurs, key stakeholders, and top executives of leading multinational and Vietnamese companies to deliver strategic projects and M&A transactions. She has a unique set of skills, track records, and combined experience and knowledge in M&A, finance, strategy, valuation, due diligence, structure, commercial performance, accounting, tax, legal, reporting, problem-solving, team managing, family-owned businesses, organizational behaviors, government relations, and advocacy. Her current work is the optimal combination of these areas with an emphasis on new value creation and sustainable growth.

Binh has assisted and advised 250+ companies for 120+ projects for clients who come from 15+ countries and 10+ industries with a total value of USD4.5+ billion. Binh holds an MBA from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from RMIT University. Before founding and leading ASART, she worked for KPMG and Lafarge. She also worked for Purdue University as a Graduate Assistant while obtaining her MBA.

Mr. Seck Yee Chung is a partner based in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Seck has extensive experience in foreign investment, corporate/commercial, M&A, IT/C, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and securities matters, and is recognised a leading lawyer for corporate/M&A and IT/C in Vietnam by Chambers Global and Chambers Asia.

Mr. Seck has dealt with a wide range of investment projects and major M&A deals, and advised and assisted on corporate, commercial and regulatory compliance matters, including foreign direct investment licensing, market access under WTO, disclosures, registrations, competition and anti-corruption compliance, over a diverse range of industries, from cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and  food & beverage, to manufacturing, property, software, IT, media and telecommunication, and aviation, both in Vietnam and throughout the region.  As Vice-President of the Singapore Business Group (Ho Chi Minh City Chapter), he is also actively involved in the Vietnam Business Forum, and serves the Government’s Advisory Council on Administrative Reform. Mr. Seck graduated from the Law School of the National University of Singapore (1996) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar (1997). 

In 1979, businessman Dang Van Thanh and his wife, Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc, established the largest-scale alcohol production facility in Ho Chi Minh City with a charter capital of VND100 million and 20 employees. This is also the predecessor of the current TTC Group. After that, he began to move into the field of banking and finance. In 1989, he founded and took the position of Chairman of Thanh Cong Credit Cooperative. In 1991, he participated in founding Sacombank with a charter capital of VND3 billion. In 1995, as Chairman of the Board of Directors, he helped Sacombank become one of the largest joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam and reach up international market. By the time he left the bank in May 2012, Sacombank was operating effectively with a charter capital of more than VND10,000 billion, and more than 400 transaction outlets spread across 47/63 provinces and cities. This is one of the leading coverage nationwide.

After divesting capital from the bank, Thanh continued to develop his family business. With an outstanding vision, he has developed TTC into one of the leading investment groups in Vietnam, operating in various fields of agriculture, energy, real estate, industrial property, tourism and education, with nearly 7,000 employees and more than 120 affiliated units in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, and Australia. In each field of operation, TTC is known for its outstanding marks, such as: occupying more than 46% market share and supplying over 1 million tons of sugar per year, being the first investor to put 2 solar power plants into commercial operation in Vietnam, and owning nearly 20 destinations in key tourist provinces and cities across the country.

In particular, Thanh and his wife have established "Thanh Ngoc Charity Fund" which is making practical contributions to the community and society with the mission "For the community and local development". In addition, he regularly organises training sessions on management and operations experiences, sharing skills and talks with leaders at all levels, employees, entrepreneurs and students.

Angus Liew, is currently undertaking the executive role as the Chairman of Gamuda Land Vietnam, the joint-venture under Malaysia’s Top leading property developer – Gamuda Land, overall in-charge of its operation in Vietnam’s market. 

With over 20-year experience in real-estate development, he has a wide range of diverse knowledges in engineering, construction management, master-planning, to sales and marketing.  

He has been in Vietnam since 2008, and hence has possessed a thorough understanding of the full spectrum of the development processes in Vietnam real-estate industry. Prior to joining Gamuda Land, he has taken on several management roles in a few multi-national corporations.  

He graduated with Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) at Melbourne University, Australia. Then, he obtained his Master of Science (MSc.) from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK. He is also a Member of the Institute of Engineering Malaysia and Certified Engineer in Vietnam. 

Dr Melvin Heng was appointed as Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer on 1 December 2022. He leads and manages the Group and works actively with the Board and Management to set the overall strategic direction focused on driving business operations and growth of the Group.

Dr Heng is a physician and healthcare executive with more than 10 years of experience in hospital management, primary and specialist clinics, teleradiology, MedTech and aeromedical evacuations. Dr Heng is a medical advisor and investor in several MedTech companies such as Mesh Bio and Global Health Byte (now UNO Technologies). From 2016 to 2018, Dr Heng served as an advisor to the Ministry of Health in the Primary Care IT sub-committee for National Electronic Health Records and GP Connect. Before joining Thomson Medical, Dr Heng was with Gleneagles Hospital where he held various leadership positions including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. From 2009 to 2015, Dr Heng was a medical doctor with the National Health Service (United Kingdom) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. After leaving the public service, Dr Heng co-founded an aeromedical evacuation company (Global Medical Concierge) and was also an equity partner at OneCare Medical, a chain of primary care clinics.

Dr Heng was awarded the Public Service Medal (COVID-19) by the Singapore Government in 2023.

Dr Heng graduated from the St George’s Hospital Medical School in London with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and has a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine (GDOM) from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Prior joining FDC in 2020 as Managing Partner Asia, Sebastien spent 9 years in Thailand as CEO of Alcatel-Lucent then Nokia , delivering massive growth in variety of sectors. He was also director of Alcatel Shanghai Bell JV (Hong Kong Branch) and handled structured financial deals in excess of 500M€. Sebastien held VP roles in Asia and in Alcatel in France and was awarded on serial M&A deals (Nortel, Lucent,…).

Sebastien graduated from Paris-Saclay University and Laval University in Canada.

As the General Manager of North Vietnam and Residential for Frasers Property Vietnam, Duong oversees the businesses in the North, also taking care of residential business in the country.

Khanh has over 20 years of working experience in corporate finance, asset management, investment banking, and risk and compliance in the Australia, U.S., and Vietnam.

Khanh joined VinaCapital in 2010 to establish the firm’s office in Singapore, and in 2013 relocated to Vietnam to joined the Vietnam Opportunity Fund investment team.

Prior to joining VinaCapital, he held managerial positions at Macquarie Bank in New York and Sydney.

Khanh earned a Master’s degree from University of New South Wales, Sydney.
